playing the kill the indians and the brits campaign in ron

wonder why they didnt put a civil war campaign in, it'd fit so well

probably didn't want to make a csa civ or there's a hard limit on the number of civs that the game can handle

i can tell the game can handle plenty, if it could have the variety of nations it did it wouldn't hurt adding in a few more
plus since it was american v american they coulda just photocopied it and replaced industrial advantages with agricultural

also the population limit for colonial americans in the campaign (125) is really biting me in the ass and throttling my millitary force. i have to re adapt strategies to work with it. surprisingly, i took over an iroquois capital with 3 cannons and a moderately sized militia but now im having to do that shit again except this time i have a decent number of cannons and enough generals to kick their ass, and they have french cocksuckers allied with them up north

if i can find a way to mod it thatd be somethin ill do

just going off what i heard on the modding thing on steam
it seems that you need to replace nations if you want to add more

thats the case with a lot of games because some of the assets are hard coded/ mod proof, you'd more or less need the engine used to make it to extend the game, or something close enough to it

or workarounds.

it's like this with morrowind and brawl (until project m/brawlex came out which basically let you fuck with the game's files and clone characters on the roster to use them as placeholders for modded characters)
in morrowind's modding tools you couldn't make a custom conjuration spell without writing over another one. you'd have to make a script that would run every time the player would cast an unrelated placeholder spell that would put the thing you wanted to summon near you, and you'd have to put in ai packets to tell it to not kill you on sight.



update on the injun-french battle, the first battle in taking the iroquois capital was a major success and I knocked them out of the park. however basically as soon as i did, the french started bombarding a previously iroqoius port, and as I was building up another army and trying to garrison the remaining of the previous one into a castle to heal they fucking attacked my capital so i had to rush it along and send both armies after their capital. naturally i tried making most of it an ambush but that's difficult when you're lugging around a fleet of artillery so even when i had them around their designated general they lagged behind. anyhow i got the capital to 0 health but they kept fuckin me out of it. this entire scenario happened twice before i gave up just now
