oh boy here we go explaining myself

because they all look the same, I basically get the hots for every single one of them. the reason I like Kyle is because out of all the characters, I enjoy his personality the most. tbh, I actually get pretty stressed out over all of this, because I have moments of "wait but [insert character here] did this really nice thing oh god should I like them more than Kyle"

A ramble to fellow people in the South Park fandom…

For me, it was around Summer 2014. I had liked the show for maybe about a year before then, purely as a comedy show with some serious moments. I remember getting weird feelings about the characters though, especially Kyle. So, give maybe about a month, and I realized that I’m actually bisexual because of this.

I remember feeling awful about it for months, and to a smaller extent I still do. I remember specifically going to a water park or something, and being in front of everyone with this newfound knowledge about myself felt uncomfortably “revealing”. Not only because I was bisexual, but because the boy I have feelings for isn’t even meant to be taken seriously.

Eventually, I discussed it with my parents, and they were supportive, despite clearly not understanding the whole situation, and that’s how it still is. I definitely think my parents we’re helpful about it though, because they noticed I was so wound up (I spent hours a day listening to music and running to calm myself), and sent me to a psychiatric appointment. Long story short, I was diagnosed with GAD and put on prozac.

It helped, definitely, but I still had constant anxiety all focused around Kyle, as silly as that sounds. The anxiety, over time, became less “Should I feel bad about loving him” and more “Do I love him” in general. I would get worked up for weeks over one bad thing he did, and, to be honest, I still struggle with that. I try to convince myself that Kyle is a sweet and loving person, but I end up taking things to the worst possible point by pointing out some of his (mostly understandable) bad moments.
